Steps to receiving financial aid
You do not need to wait to register for classes. If you have not received an award and are unsure if you will have enough funding, please feel free to speak with a financial aid officer.
1. File the FAFSA
-
If you have already filed the FAFSA for the academic year, add our school code (002329) so we can receive your information. If you have already received aid for the current year, we will review your financial aid history to determine your current eligibility.
- 2025-26 FAFSA - Apply for fall 2025, winter 2026 and spring/summer 2026 semesters.
- 2024-25 FAFSA - Apply for fall 2024, winter 2025 and spring/summer 2025 semesters.
2. Review your awards and requirements in the fInancial aid portal
Accept your awards and check your requirements
-
You will be updated on your financial aid status via an email sent to your WSU email account.
3. Complete all requirements
-
Incomplete requirements will delay processing. Additional documentation may be required if you are selected for verification, or there is a discrepancy in your information.
-
Some aid programs have additional requirements - such as entrance loan counseling and promissory notes.
